Palmistry lines - Life line

1. LIFE LINE

People usually think that the life line would tell how long you would be able to live. This is not the case, instead of revealing that to you, the life line would indicate the quality of how you live your life. It also shows the amount of vitality, strength and energy you have for life.

  • A person who does not have a passion for life often spots a life line that runs close to the thumb.
  • A person passionate about life and who lives life to the maximum often spot a life line that is curved.
  • If the head line is more visible than that of the life line, it indicates that the person is more mentally active than physically.
  • People who have a delicate health often have a chained life line.
  • A person with a heart for travel often has life lines that are swinging outwards.
  • Long Line: Good Health, Vitality
  • Short Line: It is a myth that a short life line means a short life. If the life line is short, look closer to other signs (broken, deep, faint, etc.)
  • Deep Line: Smooth Life
  • Faint Line: Low energy
  • Broken Line: Struggles, Losses
  • Chained Line: Multiple Walks (meaning that your life path is multifold)
  • Forked Line: Various meanings depending on fork placement on the hand. Generally forks indicate diversion or life change. Although they can also mean scattered or split energies.
  • Double Line: Partner with Soul Mate, or there is someone near (friend or family member) that serves as a guardian or caretaker.
  • Absent Line: Anxious, Nervous

Life line is considered the most controversial line in palmistry. It starts from the edge of the palm above the thumb and runs towards the wrist forming an arc.

This line indicates the physical health, vigor and general wellbeing of the subject. It also represents the changes in life that may be caused by physical injuries, relocations or cataclysmic events.
